“Op Wacht” is a modern opera in Fort Pannerden in the east of the Netherlands. It is a production with 3 singers and 33 (!) French horns. We are still looking for some hornists to perform it.

2019 is the 150 anniversary of the fort. To celebrate this composer Eva Beunk wrote an opera about the history of Fortress, to be performed in the fortress. It will be premiered the third weekend of September, as part of the “3 Oever Festival’  (21-09 & 22-09).

During the opera the musicians and the audience explore the fortress together. The music embodies some uncommon ways of playing together like soundscapes and guided improvisation. It will be an amazing experience for every hornist to play in this beautiful building together with 32 other hornists.
